Tenía solo 14 años y recibía continuos acosos en el colegio por ser homosexual. Jamey Rodemeyer, un niño de Buffalo (Nueva York), se quitaba la vida el pasado domingo tras lanzar en su blog una pregunta: ¿Qué tengo que hacer para que la gente escuche? Por desgracia, hizo lo que no debería haber hecho jamás. Además de esa pregunta, en su último post, el joven daba las gracias a Lady Gaga, cantante de la que era fan.

Al parecer llevaba meses pidiendo ayuda por la situación que estaba viviendo, pero no sirvió de nada. Es más, cuando empezó a pedir ayuda a través de blogs y redes sociales, también empezó a ser acosado por estas vías a través de insultos y comentarios homófobos.

En el vídeo que encabeza el post podéis verle en una grabación de su canal de Youtube del pasado mes de mayo apoyando la iniciativa ‘It gets better’. Ojalá esta campaña tan estupenda hubiese servido de algo para él mismo. Supongo que es absurdo decir que ojalá sea el último caso. Mucho me temo que no lo será, aunque siempre queda la esperanza de que este suceso tan terrible sirva al menos para algo. Aunque sea un poquito.
